The 2013 wedding season is starting to ramp up with many brides planning for summer weddings. A few trends wedding planners are seeing this year include: • Décor moving from trendy back to a sophisticated look with no shortage of glitz and glamour. Try crystal accents on tables, chair covers and lighting. • Linens and décor are turning to neutral palettes with small pops of colour in flowers, centerpieces and meals. • Many brides are opting for peonies in their bouquets and décor. However, since they only flower for two months out of the year, garden roses are a suitable back up. • Invitations are getting bolder with lots of colour as well as 3D designs, bold patterns and illustrations. • Signature drinks, dessert bars and ethnic dishes adorn menus. While cupcake wedding cakes seem to be gaining in popularity as well.
