1. No Down-Payment? You may qualify for the Federal Government “Home Buyer’s Plan” • It takes 90 days for the RRSP loan; • Most often it generates a larger tax refund as a bonus; • Must be pre-qualified for a mortgage. 2. RRSP holder? Home purchasers can use their RRSPs and have 15 years to pay it back, tax free. • Useable amounts are increasing; • 20% of new home buyers used this in 2018. 3. New Government investment money. This program will help you qualify and lower your mortgage payments. • You must have 5% down already; • You can qualify for up to 10% of the value of the home.
