Sudbury Real Estate Board reports below average number of MLS® home sales in September

Sudbury, ON (Oct. 2026) — The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the Sudbury Real Estate Board totaled 222 units in September 2026. This was a notable decrease of 22.4% from September 2025. The average price of homes sold in September 2026 was $475,260, decreasing by 7.4% from September 2025. The number of new listings fell 8% from September 2025. There were 401 new residential listings in September 2026. Active residential listings numbered 826 units on the market at the end of September, a sizable gain of 10.1% from the end of September 2025. Active listings haven’t been this high in the month of September in more than five years. Months of inventory numbered 3.7 at the end of September 2026, up from the 2.6 months recorded at the end of September 2025 and above the long-run average of 3.4 months for this time of year.
